Terms for Facilities Hire
Our kiln and workbench hire service is aimed at experienced artist/makers. For beginners we offer introductory classes and workshops in glass fusing with enamels, which may be more appropriate. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your proposed use of the kiln hire.
Advance payment is required to book the slot in our studio schedule. If you need to postpone this please provide at least 48 hours notice, and we will arrange a new date with you.
You will be responsible for placing your work in the kiln and unloading it.
If your use of the kiln causes any damage to it we will need to charge you for its repair.
We will ask you to provide us with your desired kiln program, and we will program the kiln accordingly.
The hire rates do not include tuition or assistance. If you will need any assistance please discuss your project with us prior to booking.
We do not have space to store other artists’ work, so when you book we will arrange with you when you will need to return to collect your work.
If you are hiring bench space you will be expected to leave it clean as you find it, and bring your own tools.
We recommend that you have your own insurance as we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to your work or property whilst at our premises.
