During this full day workshop at my home studio in Bovey Tracey, Devon, you will gain a thorough introduction to techniques for glass fusing with glass enamel powders.
You will each make your own large wall hanging (or freestanding curve) up to 60cm x 30cm, or you might like to work together as a couple and create one larger wall panel up to 60cm x 60cm. I will fire your glass for you overnight, ready for collection the next day.
Whether you already work in glass, or are complete novices, I will tailor your tuition accordingly.
Once you have booked I will encourage you to think about a design that you would like to create in your glass, and you’ll be able to send your thoughts and ideas through to me ahead of the day so that I can check that your ideas will be achievable. It might be an abstract design or something more pictorial - I can make suggestions too if you are stuck for inspiration.
The all-inclusive cost covers your tuition, all materials that you will be using, lunch and other refreshments, the main item you make to take home, and fixings with which to hang it, For more details please see our FAQs.
The workshop will start at 9am and we aim to finish by 4pm. Once you have booked online please contact us to arrange a mutually convenient date. I am typically available for teaching full days on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may prefer to discuss dates with us first, but a booking must then be made to secure the date in our calendar.
We have parking available for one car per booking. There is a bus stop nearby serving routes from Exeter and Newton Abbot. Full address details and directions will be provided with the booking confirmation.
