Two Day Course

£625.00

This course will allow you time to immerse yourself for two full days (9am to 5pm) in our studio in Totnes, Devon, and gain a thorough grounding in techniques for working with glass enamel powders.

The course is ideal for those who have already attended one of our taster or full day workshops, but this is not essential as Steve will tailor your tuition accordingly.

If you have attended before, this time you might like to learn how to use fibre paper for simple mould-making to create relief in your glass (sometimes called kiln-carving).

The first day will be all about experimenting and making samples to try out design ideas. These samples will be fired overnight, so that you can see the results when you come back the next morning and choose your preferred effects to utilise on day two.

On the second day you'll make your chosen design in a large wall hanging to a size of 60cm x 30cm, which we’ll fire for you overnight ready for collection the next day.

The all-inclusive cost covers your tuition, all materials that you will be using, a pub lunch on both days and other refreshments, the main item you make to take home, fixings with which to hang it, and some smaller pieces too! For more details please see our FAQs.

If you wish to give a place to someone as a gift this is no problem at all – just select Gift Voucher . This will be valid for 12 months. We’ll email the voucher to you, and an information sheet to go with it.

If there are no dates listed below please contact us to register your interest or arrange a date to suit (minimum of two people required).

★★★★★

My second two day course proved as wonderful as the first - probably better.
The reason is the host Steve Robinson who is enthusiastic, humorous, patient and incredibly generous with his knowledge. He wants you to have fun and enjoy the experiences so shares not only his ideas but his enamels and glass to enable lots of work and all helped by numerous cups of tea or coffee. I want to go again as I had such a good time and came away with a plethora of glass items. On the Sunday, the big reveal is very exciting as he opens the kiln to show the results of the second day’s work. A wonderful experience heartily recommended!
